Mom and I went geocaching yesterday in the drizzle. I don't really like the rain but I got to be out in the desert with my Mom which I love. We drove up by the Oregon Trail and I met this super cute lady pitbull. She was a redhead and was really fun to run around in the mud with. We ran and ran and ran, it felt so good to run in the open space. I LOVE running! I thanked Mom by coming when she signaled me. I don't do that often but I really wanted her to know how great a time I was having.

The desert smelled sweet with the light rain, so many smells. I love smelling the mud and sagebrush. Mom seemed to be smiling a lot at the birds, wish I could have heard them. I sniffed at a pretty little yellow wildflower. I saw an antelope but it was too far away to play with and Mom wouldn't let me out of the truck to chase it.

We ended up finding 30 geocaches out of the 31 we looked for. I helped find about 10 of them. Mom gave me a piece of ham out of her sammy at lunchtime and I chased a cow briefly in the afternoon.
My paws and the truck ended up really muddy by the end of the day but it was so worth it.
Best dinner ever when we got home and I took a much needed nap. I think I'll miss Idaho and days like today when we move.
